With this update, faith becomes something players build, defend, fund, and fight over. Churches now have physical anchors in the world with a real church core, grow a network of branches and regional headquarters, support followers through prayer, and protect the structures that hold their influence together. A strong church is not measured by one leader alone, but by its members, seniority, piousness, active sites, offerings, blessings, and the health of its sacred network.
Physical Church Cores
Every church begins with a core.
Church founders can now place and bind physical church cores into the world. These cores become the foundation of the church’s presence and connect the spiritual idea of a church to an actual location players can visit, defend, and develop.
The church site system supports three major site types:
- Main church sites
- Branch sites
- Regional headquarters
Sites contribute to capacity, stability, progression, perk scaling, and church activity. A church that expands its sacred geography can support more people and unlock stronger benefits, but a neglected or damaged network becomes a liability.
Growth Through Activity, Offerings, and Piety
Church progression has been rebuilt around active participation. The update adds systems for:
- Piousness
- Seniority
- Role coverage
- Site activity
- Saturation
- Offerings
- Ritual support
- Prayer support
- Network health
The result is a church that grows through use. Players who support their church over time help shape its strength, while leaders must maintain a real organization instead of collecting passive bonuses.
Scaled Church Perks
Church benefits now scale through a dedicated perk system rather than flat rewards.
Perks can affect acting, madness recovery, blessings, prayer support, support gifts, and church stability. These bonuses account for the church’s condition: how active it is, how healthy its site network is, how experienced its members are, and how well its roles are covered.
This gives churches a clearer identity as long-term progression structures. A small church can still function, but a maintained church with active members and protected sites becomes much more valuable.
Prayer, Blessings, and Support Gifts
The update expands churches as support institutions. Churches can now offer practical aid through prayer and blessing systems. Support gifts include:
- Madness relief
- Spirituality restoration
- Tiredness recovery
- Sanctuary renewal
These systems are designed as non-combat support tools with costs, burdens, and limits, so churches can help members recover without becoming an unchecked combat-healing engine.
Artifact Vaults
Churches now have artifact vault systems. Leaders can manage church artifact storage, artifact requests, vault protection, and vault-related recipes.
Diplomacy and War
Churches can now relate to one another through diplomacy and conflict. The update adds relations and war systems with support for:
- Allies
- Enemies
- Neutral relations
- War declarations
- Allied participation
- Draw outcomes
- Surrender outcomes
- Core and vault objectives
- Centralized church war notifications
Lands Treasury Integration
Churches now connect more deeply with Lands.
The update adds treasury linking so church systems can integrate with Land-based economies and territory management. This gives churches a clearer role in server politics and makes territory, money, and religion interact more directly.
Safer and Clearer Church UI
The church menus received a major pass for usability and safety.
The update adds clearer navigation, better guide labels, safer confirmation flows, and cleaner item presentation. Dangerous actions now use stronger confirmation steps, including exact-name chat confirmation for disbanding a church.
The GUI work also removes confusing item choices and shortens tooltips so church menus are easier to read during normal play.
Legacy Church Migration
Existing churches are not abandoned. After founding with a core, players can be prompted through transfer flows that help preserve their existing church progress where possible.
Acting Bottle Rework
The update also changes acting bottles. Acting bottles now apply to the target’s current sequence only. This makes bottle use easier to understand and harder to abuse across sequence boundaries.
What This Means For Players
Churches are now a major progression and conflict layer.
Leaders gain meaningful responsibilities: build cores, maintain branches, guide members, manage vaults, choose relations, and prepare for war. Members gain stronger reasons to participate: prayer, blessings, support gifts, seniority, piety, and shared church growth.
The update makes religion on Mysterria feel less like a static label and more like a living power structure.
